Mark Pendlington

Mark supports a wide range of organisations in Suffolk and has extensive experience of working across the public and private sectors including in industry, with local authorities, national and regional voluntary organisations, further and higher education, and in economic development with local enterprise partnerships. 

His current roles include being Patron of the Green Light Trust; Chair of governors at The Royal Hospital School; Chair, University of Suffolk; Trustee of the British Racing School in Newmarket; Chair of Trustees for the Diocese of Suffolk; and Non-Exec Chair of Cefas in Lowestoft. 

Mark is also responsible for promoting The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise to help bring well-deserved recognition for business excellence across the county. 

He is Deputy Lieutenant of Suffolk and is leading the team that is planning the Festival of Suffolk in 2022.

Caroline Bixby

Caroline is a FCIPD qualified HR professional who has worked in public, private and the voluntary sector over her career.  She is currently HR Director for Scrutton Bland a regional Accountancy firm based in Ipswich, Colchester and Diss.

After a brief period of working with the leadership team at GLT, she was approached to join the trustees, and felt that this fitted with her belief that nature supports mental and physical wellbeing, so was delighted to continue the relationship with a developing charity that supports so many marginalised and isolated people in all walks of life and at any age.

 

Caroline is Chair of Trustees and advises and supports the board with the Strategic Agenda and is there to challenge and support where needed to ensure that the charity continues to support its aims.

Doug Field OBE - Joint CEO of the East of England Co-op

Owned by its members, over 260,000 of them, the East of England Co-operative Society is the largest independent retail business in East Anglia with more than 200 trading outlets located in over 70 towns and villages throughout Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire. As Joint CEO of the East of England Co-op Doug protects and nurtures the member’s legacy for this generation and the next. 

Doug is passionate about living and working in the East and has previously been Chair of New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership and Chair of their Agri-Food Industry Council. He became a Trustee of Green Light Trust in December 2020.

Clare Rose

Clare joined as a Trustee in September 2013.

With a degree in Environmental Conservation Management, Clare works in the water industry as a Business Account Manager.

A resident of Lawshall, Clare is also a governor at the local primary school, and has a passion for horses, as well as spending time with her young family.

Jane Crumpton-Taylor

A chartered accountant with over 20 years’ experience as Finance Director for a number of charities, Jane joined as a trustee in June 2017.

Jane’s particular areas of expertise include strategic planning, financial reporting, forecasting and modelling, risk management, staff leadership and development, data protection, charity vat and corporate governance.

Jane has lived on the Essex/Suffolk border for 34 years and owns a very small wood.

Mark Pritchard

Green Light Trust's Chief Executive for 18 months until 2013, Mark become a Trustee in September 2016.

David Farrow

With an extensive career for Barclays Bank, dating back to 1990, David has worked across retail, business and corporate finance.

In 2008, he was asked to lead the East of England Corporate Banking team, and in 2013 was appointed Head of Global Corporates, Corporate Banking Origination, giving him responsibility for Barclays’ Global Corporates business.

David joined as a Trustee in June 2016.

Married, with two children, David is actively involved in the Princes Trust’s mentoring and life skills projects.

As well as playing drums in a local band, David is a keen VW camper owner.

Simon Isaac is the owner and Managing Director of Zero Above, a design and marketing agency based in Essex. With over 25 years working both client and agency side and as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Simon is the strategic business lead of the organisation.

 

Formed in 2011 on carbon-balanced principles, Zero Above has grown to become a talented and respected agency with clients across multiple industries including transportation, manufacturing, technology, renewables, professional services and the public sector.

 

Simon brings a wealth of business and marketing experience to the trustee board at a time of great expansion opportunity for the charity.
