Saffron Building Society’s Enviro Saver account is designed to raise money for local environmental charities. Each year, a new charity is chosen by members, customers and the public via an online poll. Green Light Trust was delighted to be selected as the designated charity for 2024, receiving a generous donation of £5,816. Read more
Our very own Ops Manager, Andrew Brooks, is going to be taking on an epic cycling challenge in September to raise funds for Green Light Trust. He will be cycling the North Coast 500 in Scotland, starting and finishing at Inverness Castle. During the first week in September, he will be cycling 75 miles a day to complete the challenge and reach his target of 500 miles. Read more

Our beekeeping at Castan has been a ‘hive’ of activity! Currently, 8 members of staff are learning how to inspect our national and top bar hives, enabling more participants to experience our ‘Safe Place to Bee’ and visit the apiary at Castan. The bees have been extremely cooperative during our inspections and enabled colleagues to get up close and explore the hidden world of our pollinating allies. Read more

Our Step by Step (SBS) service supports adults with moderate to severe additional and behavioural needs, with some individuals requiring one-to-one support. As the Cop 26 conference wraps up its discussion in Glasgow, it is important to recognise the work being done both to achieve carbon net zero goals and nature conservation across the county. On 18th October 2021, leading Suffolk based charity The Green Light Trust (GLT) announced that it is expanding its services into Norfolk to help with the burgeoning mental health crisis in the county. A successful pilot has been running at Strumpshaw Fen (near Norwich) since April 2021. Following the success of this initial trial, GLT is expanding across the county and will run five days a week across three additional sites in Norfolk to meet demand in the county. Read more
