With vast business and voluntary experience, both in the UK and internationally, Mark has been patron of the Green Light Trust since 2015.

Currently the Group Director of Anglian Water, Mark’s career has included heading a ministerial team, being the Chief Executive of the Country Land and Business Association (CLA), and holding the post of New Anglia LEP Chair, for five years.

Passionate about the East Anglian region, rural affairs and sustainability, he is also Chair of Governors at Easton and Otley College; a board member of the University of Suffolk, Chair of the Low Carbon Innovation Fund (University of East Anglia), a trustee of The Prince’s Countryside Fund; and of the British Racing School. 

Mark, who has lived in Clare for over 20 years, chairs the Lord Lieutenant’s ‘Flourish’ initiative, a collaboration of organisations across Suffolk, to help address the symptoms and causes of serious rural and urban deprivation in the county.
