At Green Light Trust we use the Power of Nature to support disadvantaged and marginalised adults, children and young people who may be struggling, for whatever reason, to move forwards in life.

What’s Involved

Course participants attend fully funded sessions in one of our Suffolk or Norfolk woodland locations (or at a third party location for special projects) one day a week for several weeks. Hosted by experienced Green Light Trust staff, sessions are designed to:

  • reduce isolation and anxiety
  • improve mental and physical wellbeing
  • increase confidence and self-esteem
  • give a sense of structure and belonging
  • improve social and communication skills
  • engage people with the natural environment
  • teach practical and life skills
  • learn about nature and conservation
  • instill renewed purpose

Activities include: wellbeing activities and nature walks; tree and hedge planting and pruning; identifying various plants, trees and animal tracks, green woodwork; creating homes and habitats for animals; willow structures; bushcraft (shelters, fires); cooking and enjoying campfire lunch together.
