Funding Manager 

£36,000 - £44,000 + a generous reward package 

 

Introduction to the role 

This senior role is an integral part of Green Light Trust, where you will work closely with senior management and the trustees to shape the future direction of the charity. This role directly reports to the CEO and will be responsible for a small team leading on public relations and marketing. The main essence of the role is to write funding bids and liaise with commissioners to secure funding so we can continue to deliver and grow our services across our sites. Whilst we have solid evidence demonstrating the outcomes and impact of our work, the role requires a degree on tenacity to seek results. You will need to be creative, flexible and a team player. You will have a large degree of autonomy in this role, taking a ‘hands-on’ approach to getting things done. 

 

Key responsibilities and activities 

  • Contribute and play an active role in the strategic direction of the charity 
  • Lead on the development of new programme ideas  
  • Identify opportunities and secure additional funds for the organisation to an agreed target 
  • Manage relationships with key funding partners and networking with corporate organisations 
  • Identifying collaboration opportunities and taking an active role in securing them 
  • Identifying and leading the response to commissioned opportunities  
  • Ensuring the submission of progress reports in line with funding requirements.  
  • Maintaining a database of contacts and leads 
  • Attend board meetings and offer updates to trustees 
  • Representing the charity at public meetings, media relations and industry panels 
  • Management of a team leading on public relations and marketing for the charity 

 

The Green Light Trust is a growing charity, and we are looking for an individual who can contribute to that growth. In turn we expect this role to develop and evolve with that growth. Other details: 
Probation period:    6 months from start of employment. 

 

Place of work:   Flexible, we work from home, our offices in Suffolk and even in the woods sometimes! There would be some travel expected to our sites in East Anglia but talk to us about what you need.  

 

Travel:   A full, clean driving license is essential, as the post holder will need to travel. The standard Green Light Trust mileage rate will be payable for the business use of the post holder’s private car.
