OUR IMPACT

Together, we’re shaping a future where people and nature thrive side by side.

At Green Light Trust, we create space for people and nature to grow together. We support many people who struggle with poor mental health, loneliness and experience challenges in education or work. With us, they find connection, purpose, and the chance to thrive — while helping protect the natural world.

Our Impact on people

Our tailored programmes help people discover their strengths, skills, and confidence. Over 75% of young people show increased motivation and engagement after attending. 80% of participants report improved mental health and reduced anxiety. We create safe, inclusive spaces where people can connect, learn, and grow together. We see lives transformed every day—not just through the skills people gain, but in the confidence they build, the connections they make, and the renewed sense of purpose they find.

Our programmes reach individuals across our communities. Our support is available to anyone who needs it, no matter where you come from.

We find more men accessing our support and opening up about the challenges they are facing and how that impacts their mental health and wellbeing. Given the significant challenges around men’s mental health and suicide rates, the space we create is important.

By integrating data from NHS and mental health services, we are starting to evidence the wider benefits of our work, including reduced emergency service demand.

Our Impact on THE PLANEt

We actively manage all of our woodland sites, creating environments that support biodiversity and sustainability. Our approach is about giving back to the land, ensuring it flourishes for future generations.

Increase in native species diversity, measured through ecological surveys tracking flora and fauna across our woodland sites.

Our impact on the planet isn’t just what we do in our woodlands, but our processes and practices behind the scenes. We are developing a sustainability framework which will ensure our carbon footprint remains low.

Everything we do in our woodlands involves our participants. This gives opportunity to learn about the importance of nurturing natural environments and simple things they can do to combat climate change.
