THE ROLE IN A NUTSHELL

Green Light Trust is seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Support Facilitator to provide high-quality support to participants across our nature-based programmes. You will provide personalised support tailored to individual needs, ensuring participants can access activities safely, successfully and with dignity.

About the role

Working alongside Wellbeing in Nature Facilitators, Tutors and programme staff, you will enable participants to engage fully in learning, personal development and wellbeing activities delivered in outdoor, nature-based settings. You will help individuals overcome barriers, build confidence, develop independence and achieve their personal goals.

This role supports individuals of all ages and pathways, including:

  • Children and young people
  • Post-16 learners
  • Adults
  • Adults with additional needs
  • Participants with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
  • Participants experiencing social, emotional, behavioural or mental health challenges

About you

We are looking for someone with a warm, approachable demeanour that makes participants and partners feel at ease; as well as having the ability to handle challenging conversations with patience and professionalism, whilst maintaining clear boundaries.

You will be able to build meaningful relationships with participants, colleagues, families/carers and external partners.

It is important that you are comfortable working outdoors throughout the year in varying weather conditions; and are able to remain calm and professional when supporting individuals who may experience challenges or distress.

This role requires confidence using IT systems (like our CRM system, Beacon) to maintain accurate records, supporting Facilitators to monitor and report progress. Therefore experience managing multiple tasks through the working day, keeping track of essential participant details and helping to record key achievements is essential.
