On the first weekend of July, all four wheels and tyres from one of our minibuses were sadly stolen, almost exactly three years since we were able to purchase it thanks to a fundraising appeal.

As our transport is a lifeline for many of our participants who rely on it to attend our wellbeing and educational sessions in the woodlands, the theft caused a need for us to arrange and fund alternative transport.

The news hit headlines locally and nationally, with many new supporters reaching out to us from across the country, wishing to donate.

We are extremely grateful for all of the kind messages of support and donations which we received following this media coverage.  Thanks to the public’s generosity, we have received an incredible total of £3,099 in donations.

Our minibus is now in the process of being repaired by the insurance company, and the donations will be used to recover the costs of alternative transport for participants and to add extra security measures to protect our buses and site.
