THE FOUNDRY

Our first ever site and an award winning carbon neutral building.

Situated in Lawshall, Bury St Edmunds, The Foundry is our first ever site and is an award winning carbon neutral building. We have access to a beautiful meadow, Golden Wood and several indoor spaces which we use for Step By Step and our educational training.

On site we also have a dedicated camp for use with our participants, and a horticultural area.

Peaceful location

The Foundry sits in the quiet village of Lawshall, surrounded by fields and woodland- away from the busy hustle and bustle of Bury St Edmunds.

Ideal facilities

We have the main foundry building  which boasts a large open space, as well as a separate classroom with a comforting log burner.

Our vibrant hub

Despite being a central point for us, The Foundry remains to be a calming environment for both staff and participants.

The Foundry is less than a 20 minute drive from Bury St Edmunds town centre.

If coming by bus

Unfortunately, there are no buses that run to The Foundry.

If coming by train

The closest train station is in Bury St Edmunds, and then it’s an 20 minute drive to the Foundry.

Camp accessibility

Most of our work is outdoors and in wonderful woodland settings, this does mean that our camps are not always fully accessible all year round, but we can look to make reasonable adjustments. Talk to us about what you need and we will do our very best to accommodate you.
