Coronavirus (Covid-19) - An Update on our services 6/1/21 UPDATE: 6 January 2021 As at 6 January 2021 we are looking at the safest way to deliver all of our provision on a course by course basis. Current government restrictions allow for educational and care provision, and also an exemption to social gathering restrictions for up to 15 people attending support groups. In some cases these rules will still allow us to deliver our face to face services but we are committed to ensuring that we do so in the safest way possible, to protect our staff, volunteers and participants, as well as the general public. Anyone who is booked or registered to attend sessions with us will be contacted directly should any changes in arrangements be required. Step by Step Step by Step for vulnerable adults will continue but session attendance may be limited to ensure we can keep staff and participants in safer restricted 'bubbles'. Participants/parents/carers will be contacted directly regarding how any changes might impact their attendance. Alternative Provision for young people with an EHCP EHCP provision is moving to online virtual provision until further notice. EARTH: Woodland courses for ADULTS We resumed our EARTH (in-person, woodland-based) support groups, in August 2020, having carried out risk assessments and introduced safety measures to reduce the risk of Covid transmission between staff, volunteers and participants. Participants will be required to adhere to certain safety measures, such as social distancing and, as of 5th January 2021, the wearing of face coverings AT ALL TIMES. All of these measures will be explained by staff when commencing attendance. NB To ensure we can deliver these services as safely as possible for those most in need of support, the Charity has currently delayed the start date of some courses due to start weeks beginning 4 Jan and 11 Jan. If you are booked onto any of these courses you will be contacted by one of our Participant Engagement Coordinators (PECs) to explain next steps. EARTH for Children and Young people (Natural Alternative/Alternative Provision) As schools remain open for vulnerable children, we will continue to offer woodland sessions for schools that have booked places. We will contact all schools and parents/carers with children who have previous bookings and may be able to support additional places for schools with vulnerable children who would benefit from our services. We will review our ability to provide sessions on a week by week basis and contact anyone affected. AIR online courses We are continuing to run AIR courses for people who are unable to attend our woodland courses, or would prefer to access an online programme. Forest School Training and CPD days We are following guidance from the Forest School Association (FSA) and students booked or booking onto our Forest School Training and CPD will be advised directly of current training services. Corporate Team Building days Whilst government restrictions through the remain in place, we will not be able to offer this service.
