The sun stayed with us (despite a few dodgy moments!) and it was great to have so many supporters, participants, team members (past and present), volunteers, trustees and founders, and their friends and families joining us and members of the local community to celebrate the work that we do: transforming the lives of adults and children through the power of nature.

The outdoor pizza station was rammed, the ice creams and cakes disappeared in a flash and the Prosecco for toasting was very well received! How rewarding to see so many children with happy faces: learning about bugs, how to craft things using natural materials and generally having fun in the outdoors with their family and friends.

A BIG thank you goes to: Adnams for donating the Prosecco and glasses, East of England Co-Op for helping with the cost of the food, Alder Carr farm shop for donating lots of their yummy ice cream, all the staff, volunteers and their families who made it happen, and to everyone who joined us for this special day.

This quote from one of our woodland course participants sums up the day and says what Green Light Trust means to so many people:

I just want to say a huge thank you for your very successful and enjoyable open day at Lawshall yesterday. The carrot cake was to die for! It is the best I've ever tasted. All the staff put in so much knowledge, hard work and enthusiasm as ever, and they are all so lovely. It is a great privilege to attend the courses at Castan Wood and to enjoy the difference GLT has made to my life. Bless you all. xx
