Our Enablement Programmes are ‘invitation only’ courses that are aimed at individuals who have been engaged with Green Light Trust for a longer period, have already been on our other woodland support courses, and are ready to move on to the next stage of their progression journey.

This programme aims to empower individuals with skills and opportunities to maintain their own social support networks, move into volunteering or employment, and become less dependent on support services: individuals are enabled and supported by us to become more self-reliant and purposeful.

The  Craft enablement course is an opportunity for returning participants to focus on the crafting elements that they would normally get from an Earth Mental Health course; developing skills they have tried before such as carving and furniture making, as well as trying new activities like basket making, bark work and natural fibres, natural dyes and inks, herbal remedies.

Participants will need to do some research and experimentation themselves as well as support each other in their learning.

Participants will also be enrolled onto face to face and e-learning courses that they will have to complete during the course. These include but are not limited to; first aid, manual handling, risk assessing, safeguarding, mental health awareness, food hygiene.
