The Level 2 to Level 3 top up qualification is a way for Forest School Level 2 Assistants to upgrade their existing qualification. Due to the requirements of the Level 3 course, this course is not suitable for all candidates.
You are required to do considerable self-study and to be prepared to submit pre-course material for assessment.
There is an assumption that you are either currently assisting at Forest School, or have very recent experience of doing so.
You will, however, only need to attend 4 days face to face training, as opposed to 8 days on the Level 3.
You are also required to attend the 16 hour Outdoor First Aid weekend, if you do not have this qualification already.
Written submissions on the theory underpinning Forest School practice and factors affecting behaviour which must be passed by tutors before you begin the course.
Evidence from your own experience that you are ready to take on the responsibilities of the Forest School leader in the form of a reflective account of your practice.
Payment of £80.00 for pre-course review, this is non-refundable regardless of whether you pass the pre-course requirements or not.
Provide a copy of your Forest School Level 2 Assistant certificate.
