We are delighted to announce that Mark Pendlington has agreed to join the trust as Patron. Mark is Chairman of the New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership having joined the Board in 2012. He chairs the Green Economy Pathfinder and is Group Director, at Anglian Water, where his responsibilities include managing the role and profile of the business in the important debates around sustainability, economic growth, environmental protection and tackling the impacts of climate change in this most vulnerable part of the UK.
Speaking about his new role, Mark said:
“My passion for a flourishing and healthy countryside and for the power of our precious green spaces to nurture people and nature, goes back many years. It may be early days, but I am already in no doubt about the fantastic work being done – and the potential that exists – at the Green Light Trust. I have seen evidence of amazing achievements, heard examples of lives being transformed and met some really inspiring people.”
Heather Murphy, Chair of Trustees for Green Light Trust said, “The Charity is delighted that Mark has endorsed its work by taking up the role of Patron. He will bring passion, knowledge and importantly increase the profile of our work; making the next 25yrs even more successful.”
Ashley Seaborne, Chief Executive said …… “Mark is a very busy person, the fact that he has found time in his schedule to take on this role says a huge amount about his commitment to both the fragile environment around us, and those people who need support in Norfolk and Suffolk.”Return to News
