Mental health conditions are becoming increasingly common amongst our children and young people. In 2021, of those aged 6 to 16 in England, one in six had a probable mental health condition, up from one in nine in 2017. Source: The Health Foundation, Covid-19 and the Road Ahead, 2022.

Children and young people living with mental health challenges are some of the most marginalised in our communities. Often they cannot continue in a typical educational setting, further isolating them from society and negatively affecting their future life chances.

Here at GLT, we believe in the power of nature to help transform lives.

We are currently seeking financial support to finish the construction of a new purpose-built indoor learning centre at Castan Wood near Ipswich. The new building will help hundreds of children, young people and adults with complex needs to access our health and wellbeing programmes.

To Help Build Hope and transform the lives of children and young people across East Suffolk, please donate what you can to our appeal.

Thank you.

Donations received in response to this appeal will be used to fund completion of the Castan Wood learning building. If we exceed our fundraising target, we will use this income to fund facilities at this and other sites.
